State Sen. Art Haywood will join State Rep. Madeleine Dean on Saturday to host a free public screening of the film Making a Killing: Guns, Greed and the NRA. The film exposes how powerful gun companies and the National Rifle Association are resisting responsible gun legislation for the sake of profit – thereby putting citizens in danger. It features personal stories from gun violence survivors and victims’ families. A brief discussion on gun violence prevention legislation – and citizen advocacy – will follow the film.
