State Sen. Art Haywood will join Women Against Abuse, the Philadelphia Corporation for Aging, Center in the Park and others for a news conference on Friday, October 23rd to call for the Senate to remain in Harrisburg until a budget is passed and to decry a proposed two-week recess. While the budget impasse is severely impacting vulnerable Pennsylvanians, the Senate has only met on 14 of 115 days since the 30 June deadline passed. Senate Republican leadership is proposing an additional two-week recess that would last through November 16th.
