State Senator Art Haywood released the following statement in response to Governor Wolf signing Senate Bill 880:
PHILADELPHIA, February 3, 2016: “Today, Governor Wolf signed Senate Bill 880, delaying Keystone Exams as a graduation requirement for two years. In June, I joined a consensus of my colleagues in voting to pass this legislation. Children should not be deprived of their diplomas due to improper preparation for exams. This legislation will ensure that the necessary time and analysis is taken to adopt a graduation requirement that can be implemented fairly and effectively.”
