Quote

Nearly 50 years after his death, the words of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. remain inspiring and today are especially relevant.  As we celebrate him and honor his spirit of service on Monday, January 16, we must remember how important the pursuit of progress is.  We all have different capabilities, but we are all capable of creating change.  When you give back to your neighborhoods on January 16 or any other day of the year, you are doing more than volunteering. You are moving our community forward.  We thank you for that.   Find some opportunities to serve the community here.

Healthcare in 2017

HeatlhcareThe new Trump administration has made it clear that the repeal of the Affordable Care Act is a priority in the year ahead. In the 4th District alone, 25,000 people would lose healthcare from the Medicaid expansion authorized by Governor Wolf. Medicaid expansion, made possible through the ACA, provided health care for lower and moderate income Pennsylvanians that cannot afford health care coverage. Thousands locally and millions nationally will be without the means to visit the doctor or pay for critical medications.  Elected officials and community leaders are fighting to maintain health care. We will also need your help. Your help here helps us fight in Harrisburg.
