Do you have health insurance? The deadline for enrollment for healthcare through the Affordable Care Act (ACA) is 15 December. Plans as low as $0 per month. Please sign up through https://www.healthcare.gov/.
If you have questions or need help with enrollment, join State Representative Steve McCarter and myself on Monday, 10 December from 5:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m. at Oak Street Health, 2401 Cheltenham Avenue, Wyncote, PA 19095 to sign up for healthcare. Do not delay coverage for the new year.
Gun Violence Solutions
My office is working with several anti-violence organizations in Philadelphia and across the state to determine ways to reduce gun violence. Mayor Jim Kenney has asked members of the public to come up with solutions as well. Our solutions include: providing support for victims of crime to prevent victims potentially becoming perpetrators, supporting counseling and interventions at hospitals and emergency wards, providing funding for anger management and conflict intervention for at risk populations in schools and juvenile justice centers, and making illegal gun access more difficult.
We will work with Mayor Kenney to remedy high crime and gun violence in Philadelphia and across the Commonwealth. Follow me for more updates.
