August is here already, and a new school year is around the corner. My office prevented the summer slide with over 200 children who participated in our Summer Reading Revolution. Now neighborhood children can go back to school with tools they need to thrive.

Join me and the Regular Fellows Foundation on Saturday, 17 August from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. for our 3rd annual Back to School Celebration. We will take over the 1100 block of East Chelten Avenue at Lonnie Young Recreation Center for a day filled with food, fun, and educational giveaways. Last year was a great success thanks to our sponsors. This year we want to see more families walk away equipped for the school year.
