Read Across America Day

Senator Art Haywood (D-Montgomery/Philadelphia) is scheduled to read at four elementary schools in Celebration of Read Across America Day on March 2. Elementary school students will get a chance to hear the Senator act out scenes from childhood favorites like Green Eggs and Ham and Appleblossom the Possum. “Reading is the foundation for opportunity” he said.
