Philadelphia – September 17, 2019 – Senator Art Haywood (D- Philadelphia/Montgomery) announced today that the state’s Greenways, Trails and Recreation Program will be investing $240,000 into community projects.

“Gardens, parks and recreation centers are essential to making our communities grow and prosper,” Haywood said. “I am glad the state is providing these funds to help our neighborhoods improve.”

Funded projects include:

  • The Borough of Jenkintown will receive $75,000 for their Cedar Street Pocket Park project.
  • The Woodmere Art Museum will receive $75,000 for the development of their outdoor sculpture garden.
  • Reform Congregation Keneseth Israel will receive $90,000 for stormwater improvements to their building.
