Philadelphia – Jan. 11, 2019 – Manor College was recently awarded a “It’s On Us PA” grant through the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
It’s On Us PA grants are used for creating, implementing and improving educational courses and services that aim to stop sexual assault on college and university campuses.
“Thank you to Governor Wolf for providing funds to my district that will help implement and improve programs to end campus sexual assault,” Haywood said. “I am thrilled that Manor College is an It’s On Us PA grant recipient and will encourage services that will teach students about consent and can provide help to victims and their peers.”
Manor College was approved for $16,643 in funding.
“Sexual assault on college campuses is a gravely serious problem that must be addressed,” Haywood said. “It is my hope that programs and services created through It’s On Us PA grants will continue to address this issue and end sexual assaults at schools across the state and nation.”
The Wolf Administration started It’s On Us PA three years ago. The campaign was the first statewide initiative to join the national It’s On Us campaign championed by President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden in 2014.
