State Senator Art Haywood issued the following statement after today’s Special Committee on Senate Address hearing:

HARRISBURG, November 17, 2015: “The Special Committee on Senate Address convened today for a hearing with three legal ethics experts. The question before our Committee is whether or not a Pennsylvania Attorney General can serve in that role with a suspended law license. Much of today’s testimony focused on describing tasks that cannot be performed by an attorney with a suspended law license. None of the witnesses could provide an example of any task that the Attorney General could not delegate. It remains to be determined which activities the Attorney General has been delegating, and what impact this may have on her role. Our assessment of whether or not the Attorney General can serve in her role with a suspended law license will continue with a third hearing tomorrow.”
