Philadelphia – August 1, 2019 – Sen. Art Haywood (D- Montgomery/Philadelphia) announced today that $1 million in state grant money would be put toward projects in his district through the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP).

“Investing in the buildings in our communities helps us improve the wellbeing of our communities,” said Haywood. “I am glad to see state money continuing to be used to better our neighborhoods.”

The Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) grants are awarded to projects for the acquisition and construction of regional economic, cultural, civic, recreational and historical improvement projects.

Projects that received funding in Haywood’s district include $500,000 to the United Lutheran Seminary to make needed improvements to their mixed-use facilities. Salus University was also awarded $500,000 for the modernization of the physician assistant program facility.
