“Good discourse sinks differences and
seeks agreement.” – Amos Bronson Alcott

Wrong Way

The Pennsylvania legislature is headed in the wrong direction. The Senate Finance Committee voted on SB300 to defund Planned Parenthood because it provides safe, legal abortion services. Wrong.  Another bill will allow firearms in public schools is on the way to a vote. Wrong. The House Republicans voted for a budget that includes a massive increase in gambling - $875 million. Wrong. The House budget failed to raise the minimum wage from the current poverty pay of $7.25 per hour. Wrong. We have a solution to pay for a government that can renew our state by taxing wealth at a higher rate than wages. More than eighty percent of people who responded to our survey support my Fair Share Tax legislation which does just that. Your support and that of our fellow Pennsylvanians will be necessary to prevent a wreck from going the wrong way.
