With Pennsylvania plagued by gun violence, State Senator Art Haywood will join PennLive this Tuesday morning as part of a panel of experts discussing the role that state government can play in tackling this very serious problem.

The 11 a.m. panel discussion in The Forum Building in the state Capitol complex is the first in a series as a part of PennLive’s ongoing #ItStopsNowHBG campaign to look for both political and socioeconomic solutions to the violence in our streets.

Panelists include:

  • State Sen. Art Haywood, D-Philadelphia/Montgomery
  • State Sen. Daylin Leach, D-Montgomery
  • Eileen Ahlin, professor of criminal justice, Penn State-Harrisburg
  • Jeffrey Dempsey, program director, CeaseFirePa

The discussion will be moderated by PennLive Opinion Editor John L. Micek
