Philadelphia activists opposed to President Donald Trump joined like-minded protesters in cities around the country on Monday for a President’s Day rally disavowing the new administration, continuing a month of steady dissent that has filled the streets of Center City.

The “Not My President’s Day” rallies, also held in cities including Los Angeles, Chicago and New York, drew participation from a wide range of groups wary of Trump’s agenda. Speakers at the Philadelphia event at Thomas Paine Plaza touched on topics including racial justice, reproductive rights, climate change, immigration, healthcare and LGBTQ rights.
