HARRISBURG>>Senate Democrats argued Tuesday afternoon the full Senate should not recess from session until a state budget is done.

And it would appear that effort has prompted Senate Republicans to position Gov. Tom Wolf’s stopgap budget vetoes for potential override votes on Wednesday.

Wolf vetoed a state budget on June 30, with legislative leaders and Wolf, since then, unable to reach an agreement on a General Appropriations bill.

And until the budget impasse is ended, Sen. Art Haywood, D-Philadelphia, backed by his entire caucus, on Tuesday afternoon said the Senate should not recess session. Read More →
